Davies Farm

In the heart of the Numinbah Valley on the south eastern coastline of Queensland lies Davies Farm, otherwise labelled as the ‘koala’s dream’.

The farm sits at the base of Mt Hobwee, in between the Lamington, Natural Arch and Springbrook National Parks. The koala habitat planted by CFF is expected to create a corridor between these national parks.

The area consists of deep, nutrient rich volcanic soil, ancient eucalypt forests and clear running creeks. Over 100 inches or 2 metres of rain replenishes the landscape yearly and ensure trees grow rapidly.

The Project

At Davies Farm, Carbon Farmland Fund (CFF) have planted over 13,600 mixed eucalypt trees to create new, permanent koala habitat in South East QLD.

7600 of these trees were planted in partnership with the Queensland Department of Education and  Department of Main Roads and Transport. The biodiversity offset was required to develop Queensland roads and schools that were recently built in the Gold Coast City region.

The remaining 6000 trees allocated are currently available to other development projects as a proposed advanced offset.

Why offset with us?

We are not your ordinary offset provider.

What sets us apart from others is that we take full responsibility for the growth of the trees, not the offset proponent.

All liability and potential risks associated with getting the offset trees to reach non-juvenile stage is placed squarely on us, saving proponents time and money whilst reducing risk.

Davies Farm Has Land Available for Koala Offsets

This land is particularly suitable for koala, greater glider, and lowland rainforest offsets. In addition, our on-site managers live on site to monitor and maintain the plantings.
